Upcoming competitions and news
Congratulations to all at the Canada's Capital City Championship and Open Competition! Our next competition will be the Premiership, Open and Choreography Competitions on February 18 & 19, 2016. Entry forms will be available shortly.
We also had fun with the photo area with a backdrop, Instagram Frame and photo props. All photographs taken by our volunteer photographer, Alex Everitt, will be posted on Instagram and Facebook.
We are also in the process of updating this website and should be able to launch shortly. Hopefully we'll be able to make being a part of our community easier!
Exciting David Wilton Dance Clinic!

2016-2017 OHDA Memberships available online!
The OHDA is pleased to announce that the 2016-2017 OHDA membership application is now available online through our online form.
Note all OHDA membership forms and fees are due by October 1, 2016.

Please note: Applications can only be made online. To complete an application, you will be required to submit a credit card payment using PayPal (you are not required to have a PayPal account to complete an application).
October Championship and Open Competition
The entry forms for our October Championship and Open Competition are now avaiable! It will be emailed to our members and then posted on our website, and social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, Oct 14, 2016. Entries received after Oct 14 may be accepted with a late fee, at the discretion of the Games Committee.
Please note: All dancers must present a valid 2016 ScotDance Canada registration card at the registration desk on the day of the competition. Any dancer who forgets their card must pay a $5 penalty and have any awards withheld until such time as the dancer presents their valid card. We will no longer accept photocopies or photos (or any other proof) of card applications in progress. Dancers/parents are responsible for submitting applications to the ScotDance Ontario Registrar in a timely fashion.
April 30 Open Competition
Another successful competition today. Congratulations to our Overall beginner winners Kate Young and Sabine Elliot (The OHDA Plaque), our overall novice winners, Sarah Murphy, Ana Antonakos and Lisanne Boyd (The Terry Ann Dolan Memorial Trophy).
In the afternoon, the Overall Intermediate trophy winner was Elizabeth Moffat (OHDA Plaque), Junior Dancer of the day was Jaclyn Stewart (Maxwell Bowl) and the Senior Dancer of the Day was tied between Lauren Fournier and Alessandra Bruce-Fuoco (Fred McIntosh Memorial Trophy).
We had an excellent response to our scholarship this year. Keep those entries coming next year!
We have two scholarships: The Wendy (MacMilan) Ewart Memorial Scholarship ($500) was presented to Morgan MacDonald and the Caitlin Stewart Memorial Scholarship ($250) was awarded to Jessica Nash. A runner up award for the Caitlyn Stewart Memorial scholarship ($100) was awarded to Caitlin Allo. Congratulations ladies, and well done to all our applicants.
Premiership, Open and Choreography Competitions
With record numbers of dancers on the weekend of Feb 13/14, there was lots of hard work, fun and success.
Special congratulations to our Premiership Junior Dancers of the Day (tied between Elizabeth and Catherine Wood), Senior Dancer of the Day (tied between Alessandra Bruce-Fuoco and Laura Donlan) and the Special Jig winners (Laura Donlan).
After a successful Canada City Championship and open competition on 24/25 October 2015, our next big event is our February Open Competition and Choreography competition.
This is always a fun and popular competition.
