In 2026, OHDA will celebrate its 75th anniversary. We have a lot to celebrate and much to be grateful for. Throughout the months ahead there will be numerous opportunities to honor the vision of our founding members, as well as the countless volunteers and dancers who have contributed to the vibrant highland dance community we cherish today. From our Board of Directors and committee volunteers, to those who manage the kitchen and donate hospitality items for competitions, as well as those who engage in fundraising, vendor and sponsorship efforts, to the marshals who organize the dancers, and to the scrutineers at each event – every contribution is sincerely appreciated and is vital to sustaining our dynamic association. OHDA Board of Directors – CALL FOR NOMINATIONS for 2025-2026 Fiscal Year: Do you enjoy highland dancing? Do you support someone who is a highland dancer or would you like to learn more about highland dancing? Are you friendly and enjoy working with a variety of professionals and volunteers? Would you like to add new skills or volunteer experiences to your resume? Please don’t be shy — we would love to work with you! All meetings are held virtually, and we hold six to nine meetings per year.
As a parent-run, not-for-profit organization and registered charity, the ongoing support of our membership is critical to helping the OHDA further its aims and objectives. To this end, as a member of the OHDA, you are both welcomed and encouraged to put your name forth to be a part of the Board of Directors.
